Bourbon Sweet Potato Pie! Otherwise
known as the 8 hour macaron. Or maybe we’ll call them the $5 macaron, because after trying one my husband declared I should make them $5 apiece…. They are ridiculous. (I will not be charging $5 per macaron, fear not 😂)

I started out four score and seven years ago by making an absolutely ridiculous homemade Bourbon sweet potato pie. Once that cooled I mashed it up and made the most glorious macaron filling of all time. Spiced with ginger, cinnamon, cloves and Bourbon you cannot go wrong!

I then made a vanilla bean marshmallow meringue and piped that on the outsides. A few swipes of my handy blow torch gave the macarons a smoky/sweet/DELICIOUS end result.
 
PS: If you are worried about the Bourbon, the alcohol cooks out so they are non-alcoholic. :)
